I’ve been off my game lately with this mystery illness that I still believe to be Celiac Disease. Things have been getting far worse lately.
I’m having a bit of a dilemma with this. If it is Celiac then the answer is to become gluten-free. I’m ok with this. The problem I’m having is I need a diagnosis. Not only do I want peace of mind but I’d also like to apply for the Canadian gluten-free tax credit to help with the incremental cost of these foods.
If this is Celiac then I am likely IgA deficient since I tested serologically negative for Celiac. That means it must be found in the biopsy for a diagnosis. If I go gluten-free now I will improve and render the biopsy inaccurate. The biopsy isn’t for another 4 MONTHS!! That’s 4 more months of being sick, and perhaps decline more when the answer is right in front of my face!
Money vs. Health is not something that *should* even factor is, but here I am.
