Thing 1: “Can I go play outside with A*****?“
Me: “Don’t you think you should have supper first?“
He grabs a cup, gets pop (soda for you American folk), pours in a dribble, drinks it.
Thing 1: “Look Mom, I put something in my belly. I’m going out now.“
Thing 1: “What hurts in my ear?“
Me: “You have an infection.“
Thing 1: “Where?“
Me: “Your ear drum.“
Thing 1: “I always thought it was my heart making that noise!“
