What Does THIS Say About Me?

There has been a lot of talk in our local papers about the principal of a Jewish school. In a nutshell, some parents found his personal site for poetry and are in an uproar at it’s content. It has me thinking what if a potential employer found my blog?
Being that I am a web Developer I think the first thing the would examine is my code, however for the content I think it would depend on a few things. If the employer was a parent I don’t think they would find anything wrong with it. I think a woman, even if not a parent wouldn’t be too bothered but I think a male who is not a parent might be disturbed. Words like ‘placenta’ might creep them out a bit. This site would certainly explain my absence from full time work for a period of time. Overall I doubt it would affect my potential employment.
When it all comes down to it I’m not sure I really care what anyone would think. This is who I am. I am a parent and that comes before anything else in my life. A time will come again where I start thinking of myself before my children again but they certainly aren’t old enough yet where I can do that. Right now this mundane routine is my life and I wouldn’t trade it in for anything so why shouldn’t I write about it?
