What is it with kids and grocery shopping? I don’t understand why as soon as you set foot in the store they turn into terrors. I know I’m not alone in this because I see other parents in the store with the same struggle.
I do understand that grocery shopping has to be boring for them but I still don’t understand why they make it a total nightmare.
Hubby and I shop together for various reasons. It never works out if only one of us goes. This of course means that the rugrats have to come too.
Today we ran to get a few items, mostly because we wanted to make ourselves a nice homemade pizza. We put the boys side by side in the cart and immediately they start fighting. We decided to let them duke it out until the became bored with it. Thing 2 then starts have a fit. He wants to play with the belt and is made that it attaches to the cart. Thing 1 gets annoyed and starts getting up so we decided to let him walk beside us for a bit instead. He of course runs away. When he does come back he’s loading everything he sees into the cart.
At this point we’re only entering our third isle.
The rest of the trip included screaming, throwing things in and out of the cart, crying and of course more fighting.
It was a fun trip, really.
