Maybe it’s the weather or something but lately I just can’t think of anything to write. I sit down with something on my mind but I just can’t write it. I just seem to have a case of the blahs.
Not a whole heck of a lot has been happening with us lately, My computer is having issues and that’s pretty much the most exciting thing going on. The AC adapter for my laptop has a bit of a short in it. I have to keep jiggling the cord. The short caused a cell in my battery to fry so it only charges to an extent. I have to replace both my adapter and battery and I am less than impressed about that.
I have a couple of cousins that live in the area. I try and try to keep our family ties but it gets harder all the time. It’s almost as if they couldn’t be bothered. When Thing 2 was born no one returned our calls, one of my cousins was going to stop by but never showed and they all still have yet to meet Thing 2. One of my cousins is now 37 weeks pregnant. After trying for quite some time to get a hold of her she finally got back to me the other day by way of email. Well it turns out she has been on bedrest since November. She has IUGR (which I had). Then to prove how little she ever pays attention to me she actually had the nerve to ask me if I knew what that was and then went on to explain it to me. HELLO!! My biggest baby was 5 pounds even, I think I have some idea what IUGR is. It really bugs me that she didn’t tell us, family might not be a big deal for her but it is to me and I worry, she should have told us. She lives but 20 minutes from here and I could have been of some help. I guess it could have been worse though, she could have had the baby and not told us.
And finally a piece of useless information for everyone to know. My Mom was told today at work that babies are strictly nose breathers for the first 6ish months of life. There are totally incapable of breathing through their mouths.

I understand completely about family. It’s hard when you seem to be the only one that’s making an effort. I hope your cousin and baby continue to be healthy.
