We’re Adjusting

First off I want to point out that by posting the comic about evicting Thing 2 did actually work. That’s kind of funny. I didn’t really expect that.
Now that I have had time to sit and grasp the events of last week I am still not sure what to think. Is rapid labour a blessing or a curse? Many people insist that I am lucky but that was the single most scariest moment of my entire life. It happened way too fast. It scared me to the point where I am completely reconsidering my plans. I always wanted a third child (but no time soon) but I am just not sure I can do that again. They did tell me at the hospital that if we do have anymore children that I will be admitted into the hospital near the end. They also suspect I have a 5 pound limit in my body so I can only assume I’d be admitted as baby approaches that size. The placenta issues are also frightening. The thing is Thing 2′s delivery scared me so much that I’m just not sure I can do it again. I want the child but not the pregnancy and delivery. I know it’s way too soon and too fresh to even attempt to decide any time soon. I’ll revisit the idea in a couple of years and see how I feel then. Obviously Hubby’s opinion matters too but since he isn’t the one who has to go through it, it will ultimately be my decision.
Being a Mom of two is a bit of an adjustment. We’re doing ok and Thing 1 is adjusting. He still has his moments where he doesn’t want to share his parents or even the back seat of the car but every day it’s improving. He brings Thing 2 age appropriate toys such as rattles. I’m not sure if he just knows that is what babies like or if he’s just bringing him toys that he doesn’t want to play with himself.

I am sorry things were so scary for you and your pregnancy was so rough. At least we get these amazing kids out of the deal though! :-)
PS – You don’t stink, I think everyone just gets busier this time of the year.
I am sorry your delivery was so scary, but in the end, all is ok and Phoenix arrived safely!

I’m sorry you had such a scary delivery and that it’s causing you to rethink your future plans. Phoenix is so beautiful! Congrats again to you and your family!
