Some Hope About Thing 1′s Hives

I’m sure 99.999% of people reading this don’t know a whole lot about my family. My Mother is a Pediatric Nurse. While at work today the main Pediatrician and the Pediatric Allergist were there at the same time. Needless to say my Mom jumped on the chance to talk to them about Thing 1. Well they said that 80% of hive breakouts in children under 2 is not caused by allergies but by a virus. They feel it sounds like the case with Thing 1 as we can’t seem to find any rhyme or reason to what’s causing this. They said to screw the strict diet and feed the boy whatever he wants! The said treat each individual breakout with anti-histamines as we’ve been doing and keep the EpiPen with him. The virus usually takes about 3 months to pass.

I called and talked to Thing 1′s GP after talking to my Mom. I figured this was best since he is dealing with Thing 1 face to face. He agrees. He still wants Thing 1 to see the Allergist at the end of the month to rule everything out but says to feed him normally. Thing 1 will be so happy!!!
