I haven’t got much of a chance to post in the past few days. My house has been full of company and with the loss of my Aunt a lot has been going on. I’ve got some great news, some scary news, and probably a bunch of in between stuff too.

As much as I love having my family around it has been trying. I have been butting heads with my sister all week. I have been the bigger person and been sucking it up since we are all under a lot of stress and I certainly don’t want to cause anymore. Plus I also know that being crabby is just her way of dealing with things. I know we all have our own ways of dealing with things but I’m really getting frustrated with being insulted all the time to anyone who will listen. Hubby left for Calgary tonight for work and my family leaves for home in the morning. Tomorrow is also a Thing 1 daycare day so I will have the house completely to myself and I am so excited! I will miss everyone but I really need alone time too.

Now for the one thing I have been hoping to say this entire pregnancy. I finally saw my OB today and will be getting proper care from now on! I got in with her after waiting forever (see my other posts for more on this) for the first time this pregnancy. Even without me asking she said she would be taking over full care and I don’t have to see Doctor Useless anymore. She gave me a form to have a growth ultrasound as well as to check on the placenta again. I will be seeing her every 2 weeks from now until thirty some odd weeks then weekly. I am to expect more growth ultrasounds. Basically in a nutshell everything I was going to insist on she beat me to it. I almost cried. I told her how frustrated I had been, how angry and scared I have been leading up to this appointment. I went on about how I have only been really examined twice in the past 25 weeks and the last time being almost 3 months ago… you name it. She assured me it was all about to change and I’ll be sick of her soon enough.

Now the appointment moved on the exam type stuff. We’re all a little bit worried about what we found but I know that Thing 2 and I will be well taken care of. It’s official, I am measuring behind again. We fully expect the ultrasound (I need to call and schedule it – likely will be early next week) will confirm this but my measurements put me at 23 weeks. It may not mean anything but likely does given my history. She also felt I looked small. Usually with the second, mothers are a bit bigger, even if only minimally but I am mimicking Thing 1 exactly where I was this time last time.

So that is basically my update. I’m sure there is so much I left out about my OB appointment but I am just to exhausted to bore you all with every detail.
